Lapid Pottery was located in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel and was established in 1944 and continued to produce pottery until 1990. In 1949, the factory changed its original goal of making tiles and sanitary wares - to producing Art Pottery which was inspired by Scandinavian design.n. The designers were primarily responsible for the forms and shapes, and the head decorator the designs. A group of 7-8 decorators were responsible for hand painting the designs onto the art pottery, making for subtle variations between the same base designs, and each piece unique. The multitude of shapes and decorations makes each piece unique.

This wonderful visually abstract art pottery bowl is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.

This Art Pottery is the PERFECT addition to your Mid-Century Modern Art Pottery collection
