Bernard Gantner (1928-2018) was a French artist who showed promise at a very early age. During WWII, he found himself as one of the few remaining guardians of the museum of Belfort. This allowed him to study masterpieces uninterrupted. During his lifetime, he enjoyed over 60 exhibitions featuring his work.

I undersigned, Bernard Gantner, certify to have created the Lithograph in colors "THE BARGES". achieved drawn to 185 copies on Arches paper, numbered from 1 to out of 35 numbered artist copies and 85 copies papi el lapon numbered: emPla' 6 ei achoste aumirottend aires a exemplary violist a cut a 10. This lithograph signed by my hand bears the number 160./185. Its size is as follows: Height Width 66cc 50cc The stones or lithographic plates were destroyed after printing. In witness whereof, I issue this certificate. Done in Paris on the =1-7-1974
